Summary
BFA is seeking an artist, or artists team, to create artwork for digital reproduction on the exterior garage surface of the new Altis Grand Bay Building. The building was designed to feature large-scale murals using the digital mural wrap reproduction process. Artwork must be original works of the artist and in compliance with all existing copyright laws. The submission deadline is midnight June 30, 2024.
One (1) artist or artist team will be selected for the project and the artist/artist team will be compensated $25,000 to create original artwork for the building.
Artists should only submit existing artwork, and/or documentation of previous public art projects that reflect their ongoing art practice. Do not submit proposals for new work specific only to this project.
Artists may fabricate their artwork any way relevant to their practice, if it is made accessible to be digitally reproduced for display.

Eligibility
This call is open to artists or artist teams Nationwide with at least five (5) years of professional experience.
Selection
Selections of finalists are at the discretion of the Selection Committee comprised of affiliates with BFA and the Altis Grand Bay team.
Information/Disclaimer
The Selection Committee reserves the right to modify or cancel this open call at any time for any reason. If selected, Artist(s) will retain all copyright to their own images. If selected, Artist grants BFA and Altis Grand Bay the right to use and reproduce the artwork for marketing and documentation purposes. Images may also be placed on social media networks with Artist credit. Artists grant the use of their image as stated without further contact or compensation from BFA or Altis Grand Bay. Artist agrees to wave all VARA rights.
Specifications
All digitally reproduced mural wraps of the selected artwork will be installed on the exterior of Altis Grand Bay’s parking garage. Please see “example” photo provided. *Example photo is for structural purposes only, mural rendering does not reflect the desired design of the mural.
The artist should have access to the original artwork and make it ready to submit as a high-resolution digital image or vector file for mural printing.
The selected artist is NOT responsible for the costs of printing and installation.
Duration
Wraps may be removed at any time at the sole discretion of Altis Grand Bay.
