All qualified artists are welcome to apply regardless of where they are based.

The scope of this project will include: sculpture design, fabrication, transportation, and installation. More details can be found in the attachment via THIS LINK, including the art goals, selection criteria, and art concept board established with the art committee for this project.

In order to be considered for this opportunity, all submissions must be provided as a single PDF document file and be submitted digitally via the CaFÉ website.

--------------------------------------------------

Scope of Work: Includes sculpture design (including engineer drawings and stamp of approval), fabrication, transportation, and installation (including concrete pad, base, or similar).

Project Budget: The “all in” budget for this project is between $180,000–$245,000, which needs to cover everything needed for the fabrication, shipment, and installation of this sculpture. This includes, but is not limited to, artist fees, materials, travel, labor costs for artist and assistants, insurance, engineer drawings and stamp of approval, contingency budget (if applicable), taxes, business expenses, operating costs, fabrication, freight, and installation.

Desired Scale of Sculpture: Please let us know what size will be possible within the budget range of the project. We understand that a variety of sculptural styles may be presented. Regardless of the style and design of the sculpture, the art committee would like something truly “iconic” in scale that will catch the eyes of both vehicular traffic and pedestrians.

Installation Timeline: Our estimated installation timeline is end of July 2025, which accounts for 6 months of fabrication time. However, there is some flexibility on this time frame (earlier or later) depending on the schedule and availability of the final selected artist.

Project Address: 1900 16th St, Denver, CO, 80202. It is the circular plaza outside this building (see slides 11-20 in the project information packet via THIS LINK for location information and views).
