Center Forward 2024
We are looking for the best in contemporary photography and photo-based work. This is an open theme emphasizing creativity, content, and mastery.
JURORS | HAMIDAH GLASGOW and KATHERINE WARE
Hamidah Glasgow has been the Executive Director and Curator at The Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, Colorado, since 2009. She holds a master’s degree in humanities,support photographic artists through exhibition, promotion, portfolio reviews, publication, education, and connection to a large community of other artists, curators, gallery owners, specializing in visual and gender studies, and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. ,
Katherine Ware has served as Curator of Photography at the New Mexico Museum of Art in Santa Fe since 2008, where she has organized inventive exhibitions on subjects including breath, lowriders, self-portraiture, and mixed-media photography.
ARTIST HONORS AND AWARDS:
The gallery exhibition includes all selected artists’ work. The Center also provides event press releases and social media promotions, with an international audience of 180,000+ followers.
SUBMISSION | ENTRY FEE
NON-MEMBERS | $35 for four images
MEMBERS | $ 25 for four images.
ADDITIONAL IMAGES may be submitted for $3 each for members and $5 each for non-members. A total of 20 images may be submitted.
IMPORTANT DATES Entries Due | August 18, 2024 Notice Of Acceptance | September18 , 2023 In Gallery Exhibition Dates | October 30– November 23, 2024 Opening Reception and Artist Talks | November 1, 2024 Immersion Weekend | November 1 - 2, 2024 Immersion Weekend - There will be a Friday night opening reception, a no-host dinner after the reception, Saturday one-on-one reviews with the jurors, artist portfolio sharing with each other, and lunch together or a lake BBQ, depending on the weather. JURORS AWARD $300 x 2 HONORABLE MENTIONS PORTFOLIO REVIEWS – Ten selected exhibitors will have virtual or in-person 20-minute reviews with the jurors. |

ELIGIBILITY: Our calls for entry are open to all photographers, world-wide. The Center invites photographers working in all photographic mediums, digital, film, mixed and unique processes to participate.
ACCEPTANCE NOTICE: All submitting artists receive an email notification with results.
