The goal of the exhibit is to present varied works from artists who wish to have their pieces displayed in an outdoor setting that draws art-lovers into the recently re-conceptualized environment of TCA’s exterior to admire the vibrant sculpture garden.

JUROR: Corey Randolph Stevens

Corey Randolph Stevens is a designer, builder and multi-media artist, currently working primarily in metal sculpture and assemblage. Born in 1967 in Newark, New Jersey to a musician father and artist mother, he was immersed in the creative and performing arts from an early age.

As a youth, his regular jaunts from Montclair, NJ to Manhattan allowed him to delve further into art via the vibrant, late 70’s arts scene in New York City. Every weekend, with few exceptions, from age 9 to 12 he regularly visited galleries and museums and attended openings all over the city, typically on his own, only then to be treated to innumerable film, plays, concerts, and jazz club gigs by his father.

After finishing High School in Newport, Rhode Island he attended Tufts University in Massachusetts and Columbia University School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation in New York and Paris.

Years of juggling music performance and production, art making, curating, graphic design gigs, design/build projects, real estate development/construction companies… and a twist of fate in 2011, has him settled down here in Tubac for the time being.
