Call Description

Share echoes of a disappearing world through your art

Exhibizone proudly presents Vanishing World 2024, an annual smart online international group exhibition to share your visual interpretations of our world in flux.

This unique competition seeks to celebrate and promote artworks that capture the essence of a vanishing world, exploring the beauty, fragility, and transformation of the environments and cultures we hold dear.

In an era of rapid change, the Vanishing World theme invites artists to delve into the narratives of loss, transition, and hope. This theme encompasses a wide array of subjects, offering a canvas as vast as the imagination. It may include depictions of endangered species, disappearing landscapes, fading traditions, or the ephemeral nature of human existence. Through your art, we hope to provoke thought, inspire action, and evoke a sense of urgency in preserving the world around us.

The subject of this art competition is free.

For Vanishing World 2024, We welcome submissions across various mediums, encouraging diversity in artistic expression. Here are some examples of subjects and categories for submission:

Natural Landscapes: Capture the fleeting beauty of vanishing ecosystems, such as melting glaciers, deforested jungles, or eroding coastlines. Paint the stark contrast between what once was and what remains.

Endangered Species: Highlight the plight of animals on the brink of extinction. Use your brushstrokes or sculpting tools to bring attention to their delicate existence and the importance of conservation.

Cultural Heritage: Explore the erosion of ancient traditions and ways of life, as well as the rich cultural expressions from the mid-20th century. This could include nearly forgotten crafts, fading languages, traditional dances losing their practitioners, and even the music and literature of the 1950s to the 1990s. Let your art be a testament to the cultural wealth we risk losing, highlighting the significance of preserving both ancient traditions and the vibrant cultural movements of more recent history.

Urban Decay: Reflect on the decay and transformation of urban spaces. The rusting remnants of industrialization, abandoned buildings, and ghost towns all tell stories of change and abandonment.

Human Emotions: Convey the emotional landscapes of individuals or communities facing the loss of their world. Themes of nostalgia, resilience, and hope in the face of change can be powerful narratives.

We encourage talented visual artists working in any 2D and 3D medium to share their brilliant abstract artworks and join us in another popular exhibition by Exhibizone that so far has attracted more than 8.5 million visitors worldwide.

All abstract and non-representational art in any medium is welcome.

Submission is free of charge and a small fixed fee applies to selected artists only.

All payments are protected by money-back guarantee.
