Open Call to Artists  

New Works 2024

The Floyd Center for the Arts is pleased to open a call for artists throughout the region for a juried exhibition, New Works 2024. This exhibition aims to investigate and celebrate the new media and journeys our regional artists utilize in their creative processes. "New Works 2024" is open to artists residing within 150 miles of the Floyd Center for the Arts. All artwork must have been created within the past two years. This show will honor the diverse creativity artists are bringing to our communities and encourage them to continue on in making.

This is a regional, juried call, and all accepted works will be exhibited in our main gallery space from Saturday, October 12, through Saturday, November 30, 2024. All visual media will be considered for jurying. Artists are responsible for shipping or delivering work to FCA and for any return shipping. There will be no substitutions allowed. First, second, and third place awards will be granted, as well as a “People’s Choice” award. To participate in this exhibition, a nonrefundable application fee of $25 is required. Artists may apply beginning August 21, 2024, with a deadline of September 18, 2024. Any questions may be submitted via email to programming@floydartcenter.org or by phone.  

Application Requirements

Visit www.callforentry.org to submit your images or visit our website to do so. A total of FIVE (5)  works of art may be submitted per artist. Submitted digital images should represent the skill level  and unique voice of each artist’s work. All submitted works must available to be shown at this  exhibition; however not all submissions may be accepted into the exhibition. Video entries  cannot be accepted. Review and acceptance of the artist field will be performed by FCA’s  Gallery Committee. Artists will be notified of acceptance by September 23, 2024.

Open to all artists 18 years of age or older.
