O’Hanlon Center for the Arts invites you to submit work for our Online show: BLUE

In this exhibition BLUE is the HUE! So many intriguing shades of blue to work wit including cyan, cobalt, cerulean, azure, navy, indigo, periwinkle, royal, sapphire, steel, slate, sky or baby blue. Which ones inspire or challenge you?  For this exhibit, the color Blue should figure prominently in your work but other colors may be included.  All media encouraged:  sculpture, fiber, photography, collage, painting, mixed media.

Contemporary, expressionistic, abstract, exploratory, and/or experimental entries encouraged.

Deadline for submission on CaFE is Monday Oct 14 at 11 pm Pacific Time.

Online show dates: Oct 29 - Dec 31, 2024 

Artists will be notified of juror’s selections by 5pm Oct 21.

The Non-profit O’Hanlon Center for the Arts emphasizes the creative process and the continued pursuit of meaning and authenticity through observation, exploration, and experimentation.

Our online shows are beautifully curated and promoted. Please visit our current online show HERE to see how the works is presented.  We record and share the artist talk and archive all online shows where they are always viewable. We promote the exhibiting artists through our email and social media platforms.  We create a printable pdf of each show.  Check out our current show program HERE.


Each artist may submit up to 3 individual pieces of artwork for consideration for this juried show. All media welcome except video. YES photography, fiber, sculpture, digital etc. Diptychs and Triptychs are considered 1 piece of work. Diptychs and Triptychs must be submitted as one image. 

  • Submissions fees to O’Hanlon Center for the Arts: $30 for NON-Members
  • $25 for O’Hanlon Members – Coupon Code for members OH25 at check out.
  • Or join as a NEW member now at the Artist level for $140/1 year and get a free submission.  Email the office for a coupon code after you join: office@ohanloncenter.org.  NOTE: emails not monitored on weekends.
  • Work does NOT need to be for sale.

O'Hanlon Center founded in 1969 is a non-profit 501(c)3 arts organization.

There will be a zoomed Roundtable art discussion to celebrate the show on Tuesday Oct 29 at 4 pm  Pacific time open to all. The Juror plans to attend.  A zoom link will be emailed to selected artists and available on OHCA Website.

ABOUT THE JUROR: 

Sarah Shepard is an art industry professional with 19 years experience in the art world and is currently the owner of Sarah Shepard Gallery in Larkspur, CA, founded in 2018. Prior she was the Director of PHOTOFAIRS, San Francisco, a leading international fair dedicated to contemporary photography. Sarah worked in the auction world for 15 years at Christie’s, Sotheby’s and Phillips. 


Skilled in managing client relationships and cultivating new opportunities within the art world, Sarah is experienced in advising clients on buying, selling and appraising. In addition to being on the Board of MarinMOCA, Sarah helps Bay Area arts institutions such as the Bolinas Museum, KALA Art Institute and Southern Exposure with their annual benefit auctions. She is an annual juror for the Youth in Arts Rising Stars Annual High School Art show and is on the auction & annual fund committees for Sun Valley School in San Rafael.
