Artistry Theater and Visual Arts, a multi-discipline non-profit arts organization based in Bloomington, MN, is currently accepting exhibit proposals for their 2025-2026 exhibition program year. Emerging and established artists, artist groups, and exhibit curators residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin who are 18 years or older are invited to submit a proposal. All visual art mediums are eligible. All proposals must be received by November 3, 2024, to be considered. There is no entry fee to apply. Applicants will be notified by November 27, 2024, of the curatorial panel's decision.

About the Exhibition Program: Each year Artistry presents approximately five exhibitions in each the Inez Greenberg Gallery and the Atrium Gallery showcasing artistically excellent artwork executed in a variety of media and styles that express a wide range of creative voices.
Emerging and established artists, artist groups, and exhibit curators residing in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin who are 18 years or older are invited to submit a proposal for the 2025-2026 exhibition program. All proposals must be received by November 3, 2024, to be considered.
Proposals will be reviewed by a curatorial panel who will select proposals based upon the following criteria:
- Quality of the artwork/artistic excellence
- Creativity and originality
- Technical skills
- Overall exhibition proposal
Selected artists may be combined (by Artistry) to create a small group show or chosen for a solo exhibition to create a dynamic and exciting exhibition program for the given year that showcases a variety of visual art mediums, subjects, and techniques by a wide range of creative voices (i.e., a variety of ethnic, cultural, and gender representation) while always expressing a high standard of artistic excellence. In addition to proposals selected through a jury panel process, Artistry may also invite exhibition curators to hand select artists for a particular exhibition or invite artists directly to exhibit. Applicants will be notified by November 27, 2024, of the curatorial panel's decision.
Artistry seeks to increase the diversity of its exhibiting artists – BIPOC artists are encouraged to apply.
Application Requirements
All proposals must include:
- An artist statement or proposal description of 1000 characters or less (including spaces).
- 8-12 digital artwork samples saved as standard JPEGs (file dimensions should be 1200 pixels on the longest side; file resolution of 72 ppi/dpi (standard web resolution); file size under 5 MB. You may also attach one video.
- Information about each work sample (image) including title, medium, size, and date of completion. This information will be requested when you download your images to your portfolio on CaFE™.
- Optional resume or biographical summary (one page maximum).
Groups (more than 5 artists) that submit a proposal are required to include a description of the group or arts organization in place of a Bio in the application and in addition to the proposal description. Artists who submit an individual proposal may be combined (by Artistry) with other artists to create a small group exhibition. A small group (five or fewer artists) who submit a group proposal may be split up (by Artistry) and individual artists may be invited to exhibit.
Eligibility Criteria
Artists do not need to be a member of Artistry to propose an exhibition or to exhibit their work once invited.
Artists currently enrolled in an undergraduate level art program are ineligible.
Artists who have exhibited in a solo or small group exhibition at Artistry in the past two years are ineligible.
Artists who have shown in the Annual Members' Juried Art Exhibition ARE eligible to apply.
