Two Southern California artists, Rhonda Burton and Susan Spector, are seeking artwork donations for the silent art auction portion of Art Is Hope Exhibition Gala & Fundraiser to benefit the Salvation Army of Santa Monica. The Gala will be held on Saturday, November 2 from 5:30-8pm. The fundraiser aims to bring together artists, art enthusiasts, art collectors, curators and supporters like yourself to raise funds for community programs that provide hope and assistance to those in need through the power of art.
We are reaching out to artists like yourself asking for artwork donations (2D and 3D). All entries must be submitted as a high resolution (1-5MB)) Jpgs, Artwork submissions are limited to one (1) piece per artist. Maximum size 40x40 inches including frame. Please no nudes, profanity, and political statements or AI generated work. All 2D artwork must be framed and ready to hang with hanging wire. 2D work on canvas doesn't not need to be framed. No sawtooth picture hangers. Maximum size for 3D work is 24x24 inches. ALL ART MUST BE HAND DELIVERED. Artists are advised to self insure their artwork. All unsold work will be returned to the artist.
The money raised from the Art Is Hope Exhibition Gala & Fundraiser will go directly towards supporting: homelessness outreach, assisting families facing food and housing insecurities with peer support, and community enhancement projects. Your generous donation and support will directly impact those in the most need. All transactions will be handled by the Salvation Army staff at the end of the Gala. Donation letters for artwork that has been sold will be emailed to artists by the Salvation Army Santa Monica in a timely manner. All unsold work will be returned to artists. Unsold artwork not picked up is not the responsibility of Salvation Army Santa Monica, Rhonda Burton, or Susan Spector. Artists agree to allow the Salvation Army Santa Monica, Rhonda Burton and Susan Spector to reproduce their artwork for advertising, marketing, and promotional purposes.
Deadline: Tuesday, October 15, 11:59pm MST
Artwork Drop Off: Sunday, October 27, 1-4pm or Tuesday, October 29, 3-7pm
Pickup of unsold artwork: Sunday, November 3, 1-4pm or by appointment during the week.

5:30pm - 6pm – Appetizers. Art Sales and Bidding Begins. In addition to showcasing the talent and creativity of local artists as well as established artists who have generously donated their artwork to support our cause, the Salvation Army of Santa Monica will feature beautiful artwork available for sale created by Children living in Transitional Shelter, Senior Citizens living in Salvation Army Apartments, Men in Recovery from addiction, and Men and Women experiencing homelessness
6pm - 6:30pm – Welcome and Acknowledgments, Tease Live Auction
6:30pm - 7:30pm– Art Sales and Bidding Continues
7:30pm - Art Sales and Bidding Closes. Live Auction Begins with Santa Monica Mayor Phil Brock
8pm - Thank you and Goodbyes. Sales are Finalized
