PROSPECTUS
Shades of Gray II is our second juried photography competition for the year strictly for…you guessed it: black and white, monochrome, grayscale and sepia photography. We are also accepting video submissions as well! A first for us! It is open to all levels of photographers from all over the world. Cash award of $100 and social media badge for Best of Show Champions in both categories of Photo and Video. Winners and accepted works will be featured in our gallery. It is each artist’s responsibility to read the rules for entry in full on all the gallery's calls before entering and may contact Lioncourt Gallery with any questions.

Application Requirements
ENTRY FEE
$25 for up to three (3) photos and up to two (2) videos. Entry fee does not guarantee acceptance into the gallery but it does guarantee each work will be judged impartially by our jury. Artists may submit works in one category or both, for a maximum of five (5) total works.
CASH AWARDS
Best of Show Champion in each photo and video categories will earn $100. Cash prize winners will be contacted directly after the close of the selection process to verify the PayPal address which to send payment, which will be sent within two weeks of the close of the entries.
HONORABLE MENTIONS & GALLERY SELECTIONS
Other top scoring works will be juried into the gallery and a select number will be awarded with Honorable Mention titles (no cash prize). Notices of both accepted and unaccepted work will be emailed to the entrants.
IMAGE PREPARATION
All images must be in JPG format and a minimum of 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side and up to 5MB in file size, or fitting within the specifications listed with Cafe's current portfolio criteria. Each work must have a title other than “untitled”. Works that are “untitled” will not be considered for the gallery or cash prizes. Titles are considered as part of the work itself as it integrates into the subject matter of the photo. Photos may have been taken with any manner of camera whether traditional analog film, digital, DSLR, mirrorless, mobile device camera, etc.
VIDEO PREPARATION
All videos must be in MP4 format, be in black and white, grayscale, sepia, or monochrome, less than one minute (60 seconds) in length. Videos are OPEN THEME but MUST be family-friendly content. No nudity, vulgarity, questionable or sensitive content permitted. Please do not submit politically themed videos. Artists may use any video editing software they wish. Artist names may not appear anywhere in the video. Audio and music must be original or obtained through legal means or via stock audio sources. No AI generated content is permitted. Video footage may be taken via smartphone, mobile device, DSLR or any other video capturing device. All videos must have a title. "Untitled" is not accepted as a title.
ORIGINAL WORK & PRESENTATION
All entries must be the work of the artist. No signatures, borders, digital frames or mats, artist logos, borders, or watermarks may appear on the work. Any work with these elements will be automatically rejected and no refunds will be issued. Copies or works based on another artist's work will not be accepted. NO A.I. GENERATED WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED, WHETHER IN PART OR AS A WHOLE WORK. Minor editing such as filters, cropping, saturation, dodging, burning, color corrections, levels, etc., are permitted. Excessive filters are accepted but not encouraged if they detract from the overall aesthetic of the photo.
Eligibility Criteria
This competition is open to artists worldwide and all skill levels. Works that have previously been submitted, selected or that have won in past competitions by Lioncourt Gallery are eligible to be entered into this call so long as they fit all other criteria set forth by the call.
SELECTION PROCESS
Accepted entries and winners will be selected by the Gallery’s private slate of jurors to protect the integrity of the selection process. All decisions are final. "Selected" is defined as being chosen by the juror(s) for presentation in the online gallery and considered for a prize. Not all selected work will be prize winners, but all selected work will have the honor of appearing in the gallery. Entrants agree that by entering the event, the jury selection is a paid opinion of the quality of the work from the juror’s own perspective and in no way represents the opinions of anyone else. This event is designed to be fun and to celebrate art while rewarding top artists for their creative efforts.
