TAG Celebrates 100 Years of Surrealism ECHOES OF THE UNCONSCIOUS

December 4 to January 3, 2025

Juror: Seta Injeyan

The Artists Gallery (TAG) invites artists based in the United States, 18 years or older, to submit surreal artwork for TAG's celebratory December exhibition ECHOES OF THE UNCONSCIOUS. This call for surreal art is open to interpretation, with various techniques and mediums accepted.

Artists may submit surreal-style paintings, drawings, photography, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, digital art, and video art. No AI. Artwork dimensions limit including the frame 60 H x 45 W in.

JUROR Seta Injeyan, Surrealist Painter

Seta Injeyan was born in Aleppo, Syria of Armenian ancestory. After obtaining her Scientific Baccalaureate in the Arabic language, she migrated to California, where she studied and graduated from the Art Center College of Design (Pasadena), with high honors.

A leading Abstract Surrealist, Injeyan’s vision and expressive work continues the great traditions of female voices who have elicited an intimate link between the freeing of one’s psyche as imagination and rational mind, to liberating one’s thoughts from repressive societal structures.

Injeyan artworks have been selected by many curators for solo exhibitions in national and international galleries. She has been reviewed by renowned critics. Her artistic process has been described as ”an inner cosmological language sourced from the heirs of post-surrealist artists and her private iconography of dreams.” Her work is in many private and corporate collections. Injeyan lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
