Brighton, Colorado, seeks artists to participate in the 2025 Sculpture on Loan Project. 
Open theme subject matter.

• Artists selected agree to place on loan their outdoor sculpture until December 15, 2025

• Artist honorarium is $500 will be provided for artists selected to participate.

• A $1,000 cash award will be awarded to the artist who is selected by the Brighton community to be “People’s Choice.”  

• Sculptures will be offered for sale to the public, at a price determined by the artist.

• 20% commission on sculpture sales will go to the Eye for Art Program to continue the outdoor public art program.

• Application is due by midnight on December 15, 2024. The application is available at CaFÉ.

• Artists will be selected on December 22, 2024, and notified the following week. 

• The artist honorarium is $500 for each sculpture selected for display.  The Eye for Art Committee will retain a 20% commission on sculptures sold to support the outdoor public art program. 

• Plaques will be provided for each piece which lists the artist, materials, price and contact information for purchase.  

• A $1,000 cash award will be awarded to one artist chosen by citizens as “People’s Choice.”  

• Although the purchase of an art on loan sculpture is not guaranteed, the Eye for Art Committee is committed to expanding Brighton’s permanent collection. The Sculpture on Loan program is used as a resource for potential purchases.  Ten sculptures from the Eye for Art program have been purchased to date. 
 

Application Requirements

• The application is due by midnight on December 15, 2024.

• All sculptures submitted for consideration must be available for delivery and installation by or before January 15, 2025 and remain on display until December 15, 2025.
