Our Judge: Brenon Day from Jerry’s Artarama.

Brenon Day, born in Durham, North Carolina, received his BFA in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Beginning his creative career with the N&O as retail ad Designer, moving on to be a young designer in small design shops all over NC. He began moving his way up to Art Director for several Raleigh firms,  finally becoming a Creative Director for many years in design and marketing firms in Atlanta, Georgia. All the while painting, sharing his love of creativity and helping others feel his joy as a creative as well. Making the big decision to be a freelance designer for smaller businesses in 2017, he returned to his North Carolina home for family and work on his true love of fine arts.

He has always been fortunate to be steeped in the talented art communities of North Carolina. You may have met him while shopping at the Jerry's Artarama in Raleigh as General Manager, espousing the joy and importance of everyone tapping into their creative spirit that lives deep inside us all. You may possibly recognize him from his many years working and exhibiting with The Little Art Gallery (in former Cameron Village) or teaching drawing, watercolor, or architectural landscapes classes at NCSU's Craftcenter.  He has a heartfelt belief that his home state of North Carolina is filled with the most creative people on the planet.
