Yeiser Art Center is now accepting entries for the FANTASTIC FIBERS 2025 international juried exhibition. One of Yeiser Art Center’s most engaging and innovative international exhibitions, FANTASTIC FIBERS seeks to showcase a wide range of outstanding contemporary works related to the fiber medium.

Contemporary and innovative works created with fiber as the primary medium or concept are welcome. This exhibition is open to all artists 18 years and over working in the field of fiber art. All work submitted must be original, completed in the last three years and not previously exhibited in a FANTASTIC FIBERS exhibition. There are no size restrictions. Up to two separate pieces per artist are permitted with an entry fee of $40 to cover both pieces. FANTASTIC FIBERS 2025 will be on display at Yeiser Art Center from March 18th to May 3rd, 2025.
 
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR MULTIPLE ENTRIES:
Artists may submit up to two distinct works, with one image for each, in their entry. The fee is $40 whether you enter one or two artworks. Each submission can include up to two different works, with one image for each. All entries must be submitted at the same time. You cannot submit additional entries after you have completed the checkout process. 

AWARDS:
$1,000 will be awarded
•    $500 First Place
•    $300 Second Place
•    $200 Third Place

SALES:
Sales will be encouraged where works are offered for purchase, but work need not be for sale to enter. Yeiser Art Center will keep a 40% commission on all gallery sales, so price your work accordingly. Work will be insured for the duration of the exhibition for the value of the work, or 60% of the retail price. Artists are responsible for insuring their work during transit to and from the Yeiser.

HISTORY:
The show began in 1987 as a wearable art show but has evolved over the years to include a compelling mix of traditional and non-traditional works created from natural or synthetic fibers, and work that addresses the subject or medium of fiber. Paducah becomes a destination for quilters and quilt enthusiasts each April as more than 30,000 visitors from across the globe attend AQS QuiltWeek. Fantastic Fibers adds another special element to QuiltWeek by exploring the broader field of textiles. 

JUROR: Bonnie Browning
Who would have thought quilting would take this little gal from Muscatine, Iowa, to all of the places she has been? It all started when Bonnie’s yearbook predicted she would become a teacher. It wasn’t until Bonnie started quilting in the late 1970’s that led her to teach quiltmaking and to become a certified quilt judge. Bonnie has traveled all over the world teaching and judging quilting – from Australia to Canada, China, Egypt, Indonesia, Japan, Switzerland, and Turkey. For 30 years, 1994 to 2024, Bonnie was the Executive Show Director for the American Quilter’s Society, leading the way for 93 of the 100+ AQS Quilt Shows held to date. She is the author of 13 books on quilting, published by AQS, and has appeared in many other quilting magazines and books. Bonnie has been featured on Quilttv, the AQS channel on YouTube, interviewing prizewinning quilters and sharing quilting tips and techniques, as well as other quilting programs on TV and the Internet.

Notification of INVITED or NOT INVITED will appear in your CAFE account after the jurying has been completed February 7th, 2025. You will receive a notification from CAFE with acceptance or regrets. Multiple submissions may receive two different email notifications. Email notifications will list each artwork as Invited or Not Invited. Please check SPAM.
