The Indianapolis Art Center is calling for entries for artists in any medium 18 or older living in the United States for its 2025 College Invitational Exhibition – A national juried exhibition focusing on currently enrolled college students who are seeking an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in any field of fine art and/or craft. Students pursuing other degrees are welcome to apply but must consider the competitive nature of this call. Jurors will be considering works of the highest artistic quality and merit, regardless of individual degree path. Cash awards total $2,000.00. 

Awards:

Best in Show - $1,000.00

Best in 2D (includes video) - $500.00

Best in 3D (includes installation) - $500.00

Awards will be announced at the Opening Reception. It is encouraged that artists attend the reception, but not required.

Accepted Work:
-The Indianapolis Art Center exhibitions staff reserves the right to remove any works from the exhibition based on special installation circumstances or discrepancies between the juried images and actual work.

-All accepted work must remain on display until the end of the exhibition May 25th 2025. 

-All work must come ready to install/hang. For multi-media and other installations artist should be available to assist with installation (to take place March 10th – March 23rd, 2025).

-All work may be offered for sale. The Art Center retains a 35% commission on all sales.

Delivery:
-All artwork must arrive by Sunday, March 9th, 2025. Artist is responsible for the shipping cost and insurance of the work while in transit. Work must be shipped in a reusable container and return shipping is also to be paid by the artist. Hand-delivered work may be dropped off beginning February 12th through Sunday, March 9th 2025.

-The Art Center is open: Monday – Friday 9a.m. – 10p.m. Saturday 9a.m. – 6p.m. Sunday Noon – 6p.m.

Liability:
-The Art Center will be responsible for insuring the exhibition while on view, and upon request will furnish a certificate of insurance indicating that the works are so insured prior to transportation. The Artist is responsible for providing an itemized insurance list on the Art Center’s form. This form will be emailed to the artists once accepted into the exhibition.

Application Requirements

Entry Fee/Images:
$35 non-refundable entry fee for the submission of two pieces. Each artist or artist team may submit additional artworks beyond the original two at $5 per additional piece.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility:
-This opportunity is open to undergraduate or graduate students 18 and older currently enrolled in any College or University in the United States.

-Students may be pursuing any of the following degrees in ANY area of fine art or craft: Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Master of Arts, Master of Fine Arts among others.

-All work must be original and made by the artist. No reproductions or copies.

-Work must be made within the last two years and cannot have been previously shown at the Art Center.

Media:
-All media eligible. Installation artists should contact us before applying to ensure compatibility of space.

-2D artwork must not weigh more than 250 pounds or be bigger than 10’ x 10’.
