This call presents opportunities for one-person or small group exhibitions for Colorado-based artists with an emphasis on those living in the Roaring Fork Valley. Visual artists over the age of 18 living within a 75-mile radius of the Art Base are eligible to apply. 

The Art Base offers supportive, professional one-person and group exhibitions. We have a small and dedicated team who strive to make each show unique, and standout in the Aspen Valley.

Jurors

Our rotating jury panel is comprised of revered local artists and art professionals. This year's panel includes:

Richard Carter - Former Board Member, Artist
Alyssa Erdmann - Board of Trustees 
Marilyn Lowey - Multidisciplinary Artist
Erin Morrison - Gallery + Shop Manager
Nori Pao - Multidisciplinary Artist
Ryan Prince - Former Preparator, Artist

Application Requirements

• 6 to 10 hi-resolution images of your work

Eligibility Criteria

2026 is the 30-year anniversary of the Art Base, and we will acknowledge the strength of our Valley-based artists by limiting applications within a 75 mile radius of our location.

If you have previously had a solo exhibition at the Art Base, there must be minimum 3 years between your last exhibition dates and your re-application. If you are considering submitting a group proposal, you will not be prohibited from applying for a solo exhibition within the next five years.
