Selected Work Drop-off: 2/24 to 2/26/25 (11am-4pm)  

Drop-off Location: THE YANG FAMILY UNIVERSITY ART GALLERY (Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts) 300 North 7th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47809

(all selected work must be dropped off within this timeframe and meet 'Application Requirements' or the applicant will be disqualified.)

Exhibition Duration: 3/17 to 4/11/25

Exhibition Reception: 4/3/25, 4-6pm

Award Ceremony: 4/3/25, 4:30-5:30pm (Margaret L. Boyce Recital Hall- located across from The Yang Family University Art Gallery)

Collection of Work: 4/14 to 4/16/25 (11am-4pm) (all uncollected works will become the property of the University Art Galleries which shall have the right to claim the works as an unrestricted gift or dispose of the works in any manner it elects.)

Application Requirements

ARTWORK QUANTITY:

  • Each student can submit up to 3 works.

ARTWORK MEDIUM:

  • All mediums will be accepted such as painting, drawing, photography, ceramics, mixed media, video, graphic design, and digital art.

ARTWORK SCALE:

  • Artworks must not exceed 72in in any direction

ARTWORK VALUE:

  • Please list the value/sales price for the work. If you list value/sales price your works you will be eligible to win purchase awards and other prizes. If you wish not be eligible for prizes and awards please list works as NFS (Not For Sale).
  • NOTE: Artworks intended for the BFA/BA exhibition can be submitted and if purchased will be collected by buyer after the BFA/BA Exhibition.

ARTWORK MUST BE READY TO INSTALL- any works not ready for install may be rejected.

  • Works on paper or delicate works must be framed behind glass or plexiglass. Works that exceed 36 inches in any direction must be behind plexiglass.
  • Works on canvas are stretched
  • Hanging devices such as, wires, d-rings, and French cleats must be on the back of works.
  • Printed digital works need to be mounted on foam-core and does not need a hanging devices on the back.
  • Video works are formatted as 1920x1080px and are saved as an mp4 (‘ONLY’ one file, labeled with title of work, on each USB flash drive- ‘PLEASE’ test files before submitting.)

ARTWORK MUST BE LABELED ON THE BACK

  • Title (Example: White Clouds at Night)
  • Year (Example: 2023)
  • Medium (Examples: oil on canvas / graphite pencil on paper / digital drawing on archival paper / mixed media on panel)
  • Dimension (2D and 3D works: HxWxDin / Example: 40x24x2in) (Video: Xminutes, Xseconds / Example: 5 minutes, 2 seconds)
  • Signature (2D and 3D work: back, front, or bottom of the work) (Video: if appropriate in the title page or trailer)
  • Value of work: (Example: $250.00)

Eligibility Criteria

All degree-seeking students currently enrolled at ISU are welcome to submit artwork for the Juried Student Exhibition.

All artworks entered must have been completed while enrolled at ISU and not previously exhibited in The Yang Family University Art Gallery.
