360 XQMX has been welcoming artists, writers and composers to Lake Chapala for twelve years. We look forward to welcoming you for four weeks, arriving on Sunday, March 2nd and departing on Saturday, March 29th. You do not have to be here for the duration, but the residency is available to you for the entire four weeks. Imagine all you could accomplish in four weeks!

Our ability to provide proactive hospitality and regularly scheduled programming has blossomed as we have moved into our new headquARTers in Ajijic. Salons will be held twice a month giving you an opportunity to share your work. As more and more writers are choosing to be here, it is important that they feel there are activities that apply to them, as well. So, we are in the planning stages for both a regular poetry slam as well as a monthly Moth-inspired storytelling event.

Ajijic is an active artist community. There are often multiple cultural activities taking place at the same time. You will made aware on a daily basis of opportunities to attend functions and interact with local creatives. As a charming Mexican village that also has a large population of foreigners, there are many things to love about Ajijic. Mexican traditions and cultural festivities are celebrated with gusto. The culinary and shopping scene is strong. Galleries, theater, live music, dancing, local markets ... we think you might decide you never want to leave. If your project requires special research or cultural references would help in your writing process, we are happy to make introductions to assist you.

Application Requirements

You are being asked to submit your resume, an artist statement, a description of the project you will be working on while in residence and a writing sample of 500 words.
