Boundaries - a juried show at Sunset River Gallery, Calabash NC
Where does one thing end and another begin? This show invites artists to explore the limits, edges, and intersections that define our lives, identities, and perceptions. Some of the many themes to explore:
Personal boundaries: explore vulnerability, intimacy, or the spaces we create to protect ourselves.
Physical boundaries: borders, territories, and migration, and the impact of those on our lives
Societal Boundaries: race, gender, class, or cultural divides, highlighting inclusion or exclusion
Conceptual Boundaries: abstract works pushing the boundaries of form, medium, or viewer interpretation
We are looking for work that inspires conversations on how boundaries are drawn, crossed, or erased, offering a space for reflection and dialogue.
This is a show for 2D art.
Sunset River Gallery, located in Calabash NC, has been a staple of the local and regional art community for over 20 years. We are a 10,000 square foot gallery, representing around 100 artists and fine craftspeople.
