Jury Statement:

In the spirit of the Hudson River School of art tradition, the HVAA Annual Exhibition jurors are looking for submissions which are original representational images that display aesthetic appeal and technical skill.  You are welcome to view previously accepted artworks from our 2024 exhibition here

Fri/Sat/Sun 5/30/-6/1/25 Receiving days10am.-5pm.

5/24-5/30/25 Shipped artwork must arrive to LAA Friday 6/6/25 Show opens to the public.
Saturday 6/14/25 Awards Reception (subject to change)

5:30-7:30. Thursday 7/17 Show Ends

Fri/Sat/Sun 7/18-7/20,10am. - 5pm. 2025 Removal of work

Gallery Hours: Wednesday - Sunday10AM - 5PM

 


ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS

ENTRY FEE:

• Members:Entry fee is included with paid dues $40. One or two entries (submit in ONLY one media).
To see if you're a member go to HVAA website.
Also please pay dues on line.

• Non-members:$60 for one or two entries in one category.

Application Requirements

  • Artist may enter up to TWO recent works not previously exhibited with HVAA.
  • Only one work per artist can be included in the exhibition.
  • Work must be original Oil (Acrylic/ Tempera),Watercolor, Sculpture, Pastel or Graphic (drawing, intaglio, lithograph, or woodcut print). No forms of distorted artwork. No class work. No work done under supervision. No copies or likenesses of another artist’s work including published source or reference work not attributable to the artist.
  • No work generated with or assisted by AI (artificial intelligence) may be submitted to the exhibition.
  • Size of framed artwork not to exceed 48” in either direction. (If larger will be disqualified)
  • No photographic, computer-assisted images, or collage accepted. No prints or photo copies of original art.
  • Artwork must remain till end of show
  • Sales 65% to artists and a percentage of sale price to the HVAA Scholarship Fund.
  • HVAA is not responsible for lost or damaged artwork.

• Open to all artists 18 years of age and over, living in the United States.
