Make Your Mark

The Floyd Center for the Arts is pleased to open a call for artists throughout the United States for a national juried exhibition, Make Your Mark. This show invites artists to explore the many ways in which marks—both literal and metaphorical—shape our world. From the physical act of creating to the personal impact an artist leaves behind, Make Your Mark is a celebration of expression, identity, and the traces we leave in the world around us. The maker’s mark is traditionally a symbol or stamp of ownership, but in this exhibition, we expand that idea to encompass all forms of impact. Whether it’s the visual imprint of an artist's hand, the cultural resonance of their work, or the personal significance of their creative process, we want to showcase how art can make a mark—on the world, on others, and on the artist themselves.

This is a national, juried call, and all accepted works will be exhibited in our main gallery space from Saturday, February 8, through Saturday, April 5, 2025. All media will be considered for jurying. Artists are responsible for shipping or delivering work to FCA and for any return shipping. There will be no substitutions allowed. First, second, and third place awards will be granted, as well as a “People’s Choice” award. To participate in this exhibition, a nonrefundable application fee of $25 is required. Artists may apply beginning January 3, 2025, with a deadline of January 18, 2025. Any questions may be submitted via email to programming@floydartcenter.org or by phone.  

Application Requirements

Visit www.callforentry.org to submit your images or visit our website to do so. A total of FIVE (5)  works of art may be submitted per artist. Submitted digital images should represent the skill level and unique voice of each artist’s work. All submitted works must available to be shown at this  exhibition; however not all submissions may be accepted into the exhibition. Video entries  cannot be accepted. Artists will be notified of acceptance by January 21, 2025.

Open to all artists 18 years of age or older.
