Corrales Bosque Gallery (CBG) in Corrales, NM, invites you to submit up to 3 pieces of 2-D art embodying the concept of Freedom.  The Corrales Bosque Gallery is a cooperatively owned and managed art gallery in the heart of a bucolic and artistic community located between Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, NM. All art styles are welcome, including traditional, non-representational, contemporary, or avant-garde. 

The theme of Freedom! is selected to inspire artists to think about what freedom means to them, whether it is artistic, political, emotional, personal, financial, professional, historical, or any other type of liberation.

Artworks juried in will hang in the Corrales Bosque Gallery for one month.

Application Requirements

Acceptable media are paintings and drawings in oil, acrylic, pastels, pencil and watercolor. No photography or digital images for this show. All pieces must be suitably framed, ready to hang with a wire and D-rings attached (no sawtooth hooks). Wire to come to 2” from the top of the frame.

Gallery-wrapped or deep edge canvases at least 1.5” deep are allowed to be entered unframed if the sides are painted. Hanging wire to come to 2” from top of the piece.

Maximum size of entry, frame included, is 400 total inches, multiplying height by width. For example, a 16”x20” painting is 320 total inches. With a 1”-frame all around, the painting is 18”x22” and is a total of 396 inches, just under the maximum limit.

Artist can enter up to 3 paintings, and a maximum of 1 will be selected for the show.

Eligibility Criteria

All work must be original and not created in a workshop, art class, or under the guidance of any mentor or instructor

Artwork cannot violate copyright law.

This juried exhibition is open to all artists living in the states of NM, CO, AZ, UT, and TX.
