Students in the MCC Art Department represent an incredibly broad range of backgrounds and individual educational goals, but they all share one common attribute: the passion for art and design.

Participation in the Student Art Show juried exhibition at MCC Gallery is an important tradition culminating the academic year.  Students gain experience in photographing their work, responding to a call for entry, preparing work for gallery display, and presenting their art to a wide audience while having the opportunity to win monetary awards to further support their academic and career pursuits in the arts.  (Awardees will receive scholarship funds through their MCC student account and will not receive any cash refund until account balances have been paid in full.)

Application Requirements

Applicants must provide their MCCCD issued 10-digit MEID (i.e. STU1234567)

Up to three works/images may be submitted in any 2D, 3D or digital fine art or commercial medium, including drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, photography, sculpture, fibers, wood, metal, glass, film/video, animation, graphic design or other creative medium not listed.  

Eligibility Criteria

Open to students enrolled in a Mesa Community College course with prefix ART or AVC in one or more of the following semesters: Spring 2024, Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2025.
