7th Biennial Wings & Water

River Arts, Inc. invites artists from around the nation to participate in a juried exhibit depicting their definition of wings and/or water.  Examples of this may include works of birds, insects, fish, animals, rivers, etc or abstract representations thereof.

Submissions:

Limited to 4 submissions per artist.  Works must be original. All styles, media, and techniques accepted.  2D and 3D pieces accepted.  Submissions must include title, media, dimensions (framed and unframed if applicable), and price.  All works must remain at gallery for duration of exhibit. Deadline for submissions is June 20, 2025.

Entry fee: $35 for first entry.  Additional works at $10 per work, maximum four (4) works total.

Images:  Artists may submit one image for each work. For artists who wish to submit an alternate view or a detail image, please incorporate both views as a side-by-side comparison in one image file.

Presentation:

Size limit maximum 5ft on longest side.  Two-dimensional work must be gallery ready and wired for hanging.  No saw-tooths or clip hangers. Improperly mounted work will not be accepted.

Sale of Works:

Though NFS works will be accepted, we encourage works for sale.  Works may not be removed until the close of exhibition.  Artists retain 65% of sale with 35% retained by River Arts, Inc. 

Shipping/Delivery/Insurance:

Full packaging and shipping requirements will be sent to accepted artists.  No packing peanuts! All shipments must include a prepaid UPS or Fed Ex return label and be shipped in a container suitable for re-use for return shipping. Artist will be responsible for cost of shipping and insurance to and from venue. River Arts, Inc. and the hosting exhibition venue (The River Arts Center) assume no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage while the artwork is in transit. Work will be carefully handled and installed once on the premises. Insurance will be provided by River Arts Inc. while in its possession from art drop off to art pick up, including the duration of the exhibit. Artwork will be considered abandoned if not picked up within 30 days of the closing exhibition date, and RAI will no longer be responsible for the care or preservation of that artwork.

Notification:

Acceptances and regrets will be sent by Friday, July 11th.
