We invite artists to submit work for our 2nd collaborative, juried exhibit with ArtSpace Maynard.

Resilience. The art of bouncing back and moving forward in the face of adversity, be 
it personal, environmental, social, or global. 
For our second annual collaborative juried exhibit, 6 Bridges Gallery and ArtSpace Maynard invite artists to submit work which speaks to the theme of resilience.

The exhibit will be juried by Jamaal Eversley. Eversley is an artist and curator whose bold, abstract paintings, murals, and designs put the “F”un back into Fine Arts. Read more about Jamaal Eversley.

About our Juror, Jamaal Eversley

 Jamaal Eversley is a Randolph-based artist and curator whose bold, abstract paintings, murals, and designs put the “F”un back into Fine Arts. Passionate about connecting people through creative dialogue, his community development work combines business with the arts to bring thoughtful and inspiring exhibitions and performances to communities throughout Greater Boston. 

His work has been exhibited at Massachusetts General Hospital, Beacon Gallery, and Nearby Gallery just to name a few. He has collaborated with many community centered institutions like Hopkinton Center for the Art to lead and curate group exhibitions such as The Bold & Beautiful Show. He has received numerous grants to bring his colorful aesthetic and collaborative outlook to the community.

Currently, Eversley serves as curator for Brockton Arts Organization and sits on the board of the Randolph Cultural Council. Eversley holds a BA in business from Babson College and was a Massachusetts College of Art’s Boston Art Fellow for it’s Creative Economy Business Incubator, an Arts & Business Council Creative Entrepreneur Fellow and the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture’s Galleries and Exhibition Fellow. Currently he is a fellow at the historic St. Botolph Club in Boston and project manager for The National Center of Afro-American Artists in Roxbury.

* We do not store or ship artwork. A $20 late fee will be applied for works of art not picked up by August 10, 2024. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you cannot pick up on time please make arrangements with a friend or family member to pick up your work for you. The gallery cannot be responsible for works left behind.

Application Requirements

• This is a Juried exhibit; entry does not guarantee acceptance
• Up to 3 works may be submitted
• Work must have been created within the past 3 years
• 2D art must be wired and ready to hang (no sawtooth hangers); maximum size including frame is 40" in any direction
• 3D art maximum weight is 40 lbs; maximum dimension is any direction is 40”
• Small pedestals will be provided for 3D pieces
• Artists must provide any other special equipment to display work
• All work must be for sale
• Artists receive 60% on all sales
• All work must remain on display through the duration of the exhibit

Entry fees

• ArtSpace Maynard Artist-Level Members:
  • $25 for the first entry after discount
  • $5 each for second and third
• 
  Non-members:
  • $35 for the first entry
  • $5 each for second and third

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to all artists age 16 and older
• Open to all media except video
