The Redstone Labor Day Arts Show is in its 29th year. The event is held over 2.5 days on the Labor Day weekend which is a busy time for tourists and locals to explore the Crystal River Valley.

The Arts Show runs from Friday evening August 29th through Sunday afternoon August 31st at 5pm.

The Labor Day Arts show opens with a Friday evening reception (5pm-8pm) where appetizers and drinks are provided and served by community volunteers. The Friday evening reception has historically been well attended by the local community and is a chance to socialize with other artists and the community alike.

The art show is open from 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday August 30th and 31st.

Lunch is provided to artists on Saturday and water and softdrinks are provided to artists across the weekend.

The show is located in two event tents on the front lawn and in the back of the Redstone Inn.

Hanging work will be presented on panels that are 90” wide and 71” high. Pedestals will be available for sculptures.Tables measuring 2.5’ x 8’ are provided for jewelry, pottery and fabric art.  Space outside the tent will be made available for large outdoor sculptures. The artist coordinator will be in touch with you about your specific needs.

Optional 10x10 tent space can be made available for artists wishing a larger area and can provide their own tent and displays.

The top 15 selling artists are invited back to exhibit the following year.

A room at the Redstone Inn is made available to artists for use of the restroom and to store personal belongings and back up art or supplies. As your displayed work is sold, other pieces can be retrieved from the locked storage space in the Redstone Inn.

Security will be available in the tents during the duration of the show including all hours the show is not open.  For your own protection, you can purchase your own individual insurance policy in case of theft or damage.  You may also choose to remove your art in the evenings.

Your business cards, brochures, and small portfolios will be made available at the docent/cashier table.  Your artist bio will be displayed in a 5”x7” frame on your panel or table.

If you need a place to stay, check out redstonecolorado.com for information on lodging and camping.   This is a busy time in Redstone so reserve your spot early.  You can also contact our artist coordinator for other possible local options.
