Call Description

The exhibit will be held in our South Gallery (smaller gallery) and will be opening on First Thursday, June 5, 2025, 5-8 pm and close on Saturday, June 28 at 5pm. Gallery is open Thursday-Sunday, 12-5. A slide show of work will be accessible to view on our website – www.gallery114pdx.com

At Gallery 114, you can "expect the unexpected" because we are artist owned, artist run and artists unleashed. We encourage our members to take risks and explore new and different creative efforts with underlying quality and integrity.

Application Requirements
A complete application will have the following:

  • Up to 6 (Six) images of artworks to be considered (no video)
  • Work must be for sale
  • Media information for each work (title, media, dimensions, price)
  • Paid entry fee of $35 for three submissions, $5 per additional submission (maximum of 6 total)
  • Brief description about how your work reflects the theme

Criteria & Judging: Works will be judged on the following criteria: conceptual and aesthetic quality; and overall artistic merit. The jurors will not comment on any applications. All entries must be of original design and personal execution.

Media: All 2 and 3-dimensional media welcome. Works must be original.

Eligibility: Any artists within the NW Oregon and SW Washington area, if you can deliver and pick up in person you can apply. 18 years or older are eligible to apply. All artwork MUST be for sale and be hand delivered.

Size: All submitted work must not exceed 12 inches in any direction.

Delivery: All work must be HAND DELIVERED and PICKED UP - NO WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED IF SENT VIA MAILING SERVICES.

Installation ready: Each accepted entry must be installation ready, with any special hanging hardware with written installation instructions. Please have your title and name prominent on the back of the piece.

Photography: Gallery 114 may photograph, or use your photo, the work for reproduction on the gallery website, press releases and in social media.

Sales: Work must be for sale. All sales will be handled through Gallery 114. A 40% commission will be charged. All pieces must remain up for the duration of the exhibit. 

Gallery 114 will send checks to the artist for sales of their work within 30 days of the end of the exhibit.

How to Enter: All materials, including entry fees and images, must be submitted in digital format through CaFE at callforentry.org. 

Photographs of work: Name each photo file with the first initial of first name/last name/title/medium/price.jpg or .png, re: DErickson-LovingYou-oiloncanvas-350.jpg. 

Photos to be 201dpi, 1500 px on largest side.

ARTWORK MUST BE HAND DELIVERED AND PICKED UP! NO MAILED PACKAGES WILL BE ACCEPTED!

Delivery of art - Sunday June 1, 10:30 to 2:30pm.
Artists pick up work - Saturday, June 28,  3:30 to 6 pm and Sunday June 29, 10 to 12:30pm

Artists MUST follow this drop off and pick up schedule and hours! 

You may have a designated person do the delivery and pick up, but you must let us know the persons name and phone # for texting.
