OPPORTUNITY: CALL FOR ENTRIES
"Everyday People", 6/5/25 - 6/28/25
Opening Reception Sat 6/7/25

We invite you to submit work for consideration into our Drawing Rooms exhibit, "Everyday People!". In our previous show we filled our gallery space with hope in the form of the color yellow. For this show, we are inviting all people inside. Let’s represent. Self-portraits, portraits of your family and friends, as well as strangers and imaginary friends. Perhaps people you’d like to meet or they only exist in your imagination. Real or imagined, we are looking for artwork in a range of styles– from realism to expressionism to abstraction- go as far as your creativity can take you. Our goal is to gather together a large array of innovative and exceptional works to produce an exciting show.

In keeping with our love of music, this show is dedicated to Sly and The Family Stone, an American funk band considered to be essential in the development of funk, soul, R&B, rock and psychedelic soul music and whose song, Everyday People, we especially like.

Acceptable media includes wall mounted works on paper or canvas, photography, collage or textiles, using any media, unframed, framed or mounted on cradled panel or stretcher bars. Works must be original. No AI or reproductions of original works.

Drawing Rooms will feature selected works from this exhibition for sale on Artsy.net

FAQ
What resolution should my images be?
Any resolution (pixels per inch) is fine. We only care about the overall dimensions (how many pixels height by pixels wide). This is called pixel dimensions on the Image Size function of Photoshop. Minimum size 1,200 pixels on short dimension.

How large can my images be?
No more than 3000 pixels. Please crop any background out of your images.

Is the work insured?
All works are insured when they are in our possession.

How are sales handled?
Commissions from any sales will be paid to the artist within 30 days of our receiving the payment, via check, PayPal or cash depending on the situation.

Why did my work not get chosen?
There are many factors which influence final selections and ultimately not all submissions can be included. We hope all the artists submitting work understand this and continue to respond to future calls.

Can I submit a portrait of a famous person?
It is our preference that you stick with the theme of everyday people and not submit famous people, but if you must, the curator might consider clever work, not realistic portraits of famous people.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Artists must be over the age of 18.
