Call Description

The show will be juried by an established regional artist, to be announced. We encourage artists to capture and convey the essence of "Summer" in creative and imaginative ways. Whether through landscapes, abstract interpretations, or other
conceptual pieces, we look forward to showcasing a diverse array of works.

This is an exciting opportunity to present your art to a broad audience and engage with fellow artists and collectors. Prepare your entries and submit them by the deadline to ensure your chance of being part of this vibrant showcase.
 

We eagerly anticipate the unique perspectives and talents that will make up the "Summer" exhibition. We hope to see your artwork featured in the NSULA Fine + Graphic Arts/Natchitoches Art Guild Juried Art Show.
 

Application Requirements

The competition is open to artists aged 18 and older living in the tristate region of Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. All submissions must be two-dimensional artwork, including paintings, drawings, fiber art, etc. The maximum size for artwork is 30"x 40", and the minimum size is 12” x 12”.

Eligibility Criteria

Submission Guidelines:

• Artists may submit up to three entries.

• A non-refundable entry fee of $35 applies for up to three pieces. This fee covers administration, publicity, and exhibition costs.

• Accepted works should be framed with wire hangers on the back to hang the artwork.

• All shipped artwork must be sent in a reusable carton with a prepaid return label.

• Local Artists may drop off their artwork on September 7.

Awards:

• Best of Show: $1,000

• First Place: $500

• Second Place: $250

Important Dates:

• Submission deadline: August 1

• Notification of acceptance: August 21

• Receipt of all artwork: September 7

• Exhibition dates: September 15 to October 7
