This is a juried show.  The deadline for submission is midnight, Sunday, August 31, 2025 Each work will be blind reviewed and scored independently by two jurors between September 1-4, 2025. All entrants will be notified of their status via email, by September 5, 2025. All entries must arrive in Ludington, MI by Saturday, September 27, 2025.

Entry fee is $30.00 and allows submission of up to 2 different works in 2D or 3D mediums (Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Collage, Textile, Glass, Photography, Sculpture, Video and Installation Art). The fee will not be refunded, in part or in whole, for any reason.  In addition, the application and fee do not guarantee acceptance into the exhibit or event. Payment is by credit card or Pay Pal only. No checks are accepted.

An Artist Statement (200 words or less) is required that discusses your submitted pieces. Submit one for each piece you enter. This statement will be displayed during the exhibit.

PRESENTATION: 
Artwork must look professionally finished (as appropriate to the medium), and be ready for secure installation. All 2D art must be equipped with stretched WIRE attached to the back. (Sawtooth hangers are not acceptable.) 3D artwork may be displayed on stands.  Artwork that does not meet these requirements, will not be displayed. Note that NO ARTWORK will be attached to the walls USING SCREWS OR NAILS. 

SALES / COMMISSION: 
Works in this show may be for sale (with a stated price) or artists may select the NFS option. The Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA) commission is 30% for members and 35% for non members, on all sales. Membership may be purchased for $40 at any time.  All art (even if sold) must remain at LACA for the full duration of the exhibition. 

IMAGE USE / COPYRIGHTS:
Artist retains all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork. Digital images submitted with artist entry are for exhibition selection only. By entering the competition, artists selected to exhibit grant Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA) rights to use the selected image(s) on printed materials and the Center web site for promotional purposes only. LACA retains no copyrights to artists' work. 

DELIVERY / SHIPPING:
Detailed shipping instructions will be sent with Notification of Acceptance in an email message.  Artists are responsible for all shipping / delivery costs (and insurance) both TO and FROM the LACA Gallery in Ludington, MI. Works must be delivered no later than Saturday, September 27, 2025. Works may be dropped off in person Tuesdays and Wednesdays (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.); Thursdays and Fridays (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.); Saturdays (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) or by arrangement with LACA. RETURN SHIPPING
Unsold works will be return shipped the week of November 3, 2025. A RETURN SHIPPING LABEL is the responsibility of the ARTIST. It is suggested that a prepaid return label be included with the original shipment.  Artist may pick up works the week of November 3, 2025 by arrangement.

ABANDONED WORKS
Works remaining unclaimed after November 15, 2025 will be considered abandoned and become the property of LACA.

INSURANCE  
LACA will exercise reasonable care in handling and protecting all artwork, but LACA will not assume any liability for loss of or damage to art while in LACA's custody or during round-trip shipping. Artists are responsible to independently insure their own work. In addition, artists are strongly encouraged to obtain an additional insurance rider if their art is of high retail value.  By applying to this Call For Entry and by shipping or delivering artwork to LACA, the Artist / Photographer -- and any third party -- fully agree that Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA), and its agents and employees will not be liable, and not culpable in any way, for loss or damage to the art.
