Art Scene West is celebrating the beauty of tradition with our 2nd annual Views exhibition, previously titled our Land and Seascape Show. We want to put the beauty of both representational and impressionistic art on display for those who travel from far and wide to reach our gallery and awe in appreciation. If you are a master of your craft or a talented newcomer with a keen perspective of delightful views, we invite you to submit and take part in this exclusive opportunity to become part of our gallery for a 50 day exhibition during the summer months in San Diego, CA. Whether it’s an enchanted destination, a common-yet-spectacular scene, your favorite hideaway, or even a far-out fantasy, we invite you to take our breath away with your View.

DETAILS

All 2D, hanging artwork should not exceed 30” on its longest side, or an additional fee will be required if the piece is invited to participate. 

Sculptures must not be larger than 16” high x 8” wide x 8” deep, and must not exceed 45 lbs in weight.

Artworks will be judged only by their quality, originality, and relevance to this call. 

Art Scene West will remit 60% of the sales commission to the artist and withhold 40% for gallery expenses. 

Artists selected for the exhibition will have their biographies and artwork images published and promoted through our social media handles and website.

The in-gallery exhibition will be live from June 17th - August 5th, 2025. (50 days)

TIMELINE

Submission deadline: May 27th, 2025

Selected artists will be notified by May 31st.

Artwork should be delivered to Art Scene West by June 15th. 

The opening reception at the gallery is on Saturday, June 21st. 

Unsold artwork can be retrieved or will be sent back beginning August 6th, 2025.

FEES:

There is a $35 submission fee to thoroughly review the artist's work and biography. For artists who are selected into the exhibition, the participation fee is $75. This helps cover the costs of promoting the exhibition, handling and curating the artwork inside the gallery, and uploading the artist’s content onto our website and social media channels. Artists are responsible for shipping and return-shipping fees.

ARTWORK SUBMISSION IMAGE REQUIREMENTS

Artists are encouraged to send images that will best represent the quality of their artwork to both the Art Scene West curators and its patrons. The images submitted for review will be the same used on the Art Scene West website if selected. 

• Maximum 4 images of the artwork.
• Only clear and accurate images of an artwork will be considered.
