The Art Gallery at Western Wyoming Community College is pleased to accept submissions for Inspired By Nature - An Exhibition of Sculptural Clay Works. The exhibition will showcase works that speak to current issues, explore fresh perspectives within the discipline, or generally demonstrate the breadth of possibilities available while working--either partially or fully--with clay as a sculptural element. 

Inspired By Nature - An Exhibition of Sculptural Clay Works accepts works that are made using "clay" materials--either in part or in totality. Submitted works should clearly demonstrate the artist's use of aestheticism, and should be displayable in a traditional gallery setting (ie. on pedestals or wall hanging). 

Application Requirements

ENTRY FEE:

Artists may submit three images for $20 dollars, and up to two additional images at a cost of $5 each.

MEDIUM REQUIREMENTS:

Artworks must include some element of fired clay. 

SHIPPING:

Artists will ship their work to the gallery at their own expense, and must include a self-addressed return shipping label with their artwork for the gallery to ship any unsold artwork back.

When shipping artwork, do not use packing peanuts. 

Accepted artwork must labelled on the back or bottom with the artist's name, title of work, medium, and price. (If not for sale, please include an insurance value)

DISPLAY:

Accepted artworks must be able to be conveniently displayed on a wall or pedestal.   

Additionally, accepted artworks must remain on display in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition.

The gallery reserves the right not to exhibit artworks that diverge significantly in their appearance from their photographs, artwork that arrives damaged or constitutes an unreasonable risk to the gallery, or whose artists fail to follow the guidelines of this prospectus.

INSURANCE:

Artwork will be insured by the gallery while on display. Insurance value will be 50% of the listed sales price, or if the work is not for sale, the listed insurance value. 

SALES:

The gallery will take 50% commission on any artworks sold during the exhibition.

Artists who wish to have their work for sale during the exhibition, must fill out and submit a W-9 to the gallery.

IMPORTANT DATES:

Entry deadline: 11/2/2025

Jurying complete: 11/15/2025

Accepted artwork due at gallery: 12/5/2025

Exhibition dates: 12/12/2025 - 3/16/2026

Artist age 18 or older are eligible to apply.
