Call Description

Eleven x Anything will be on view at Spark Gallery, in Denver, Colorado, USA as part of Denver metro's Mo'Print (month of printmaking) celebration. Spark  is the oldest, self-supporting, artist-run gallery in Denver. As an alternative space, Spark enjoys the freedom to foster experimental art and explore new ideas. Spark is located in the heart of Denver's Cultural Complex, right next to the Denver Art Museum and a short walk from the Kirkland Museum and the Clyfford Still Museum..


Juror Emily Grace King is a curator, artist, and arts advocate. She currently serves as the  and ArchivArt and Exhibits Curator for Special Collections and Archives at the Denver Public Library, where she strives to increase free, public access to a collection of over 4,000 works of regional art, providing visitors with a sense of place and belonging in the culture of Colorado. Formerly, Emily was the Exhibition Manager and Associate Curator at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities and a Social Enterprise Fellow at the Clyfford Still Museum Institute. Emily is currently pursuing a Master's of Liberal Arts in Museum Studies at Harvard University and earned her Bachelor's of Art at the University of Northern Colorado.

Cash awards for 1st ($250US), 2nd ($150US), 3rd place ($100US) will be granted.

Work in the exhibit can be priced for sale or marked NFS. A commission of 20% will be retained by Spark Gallery on all works sold.

Work will be installed using magnets and cannot be mounted or framed.

Timeline

June 1, 2025: Submissions open
December 15, 2025:  Deadline for submissions
January 15, 2026: Announcement of accepted work via e-mail
February 15, 2026: Deadline to receive shipped work

February 27, 2026: First day of exhibit

March 24, 2026: Last day of exhibit
Week of March 31, 2026: Return shipping of unsold work

Application Requirements

Maximum of 3 works may be submitted per artist. Entry fee of $35(US) is nonrefundable.

All submissions must be completed online through CaFE.

Please send gallery quality images without background clutter or text. If your work is accepted for exhibition, the images you submit will be used for print & digital publicity. 

Please note that you will not be able to change any information submitted at time of entry, including the price, after the submission process. 

Eligibility Criteria

This exhibition is open to any artist 18 years of age or older.

Eligible are any prints (editioned or unique) that utilize a form of traditional hand printed media as primary element.  Submissions may include but are not limited to: monoprint, monotype, screen print, intaglio, photopolymer, photogravure, collagraph, lithography, woodcut, linocut & letterpress. 

Submitted work may include digital output or mixed-media elements within the greater work but finished works that are composed solely of inkjet, risograph, photocopy, laser engraving, or giclée reproductions are ineligible.

Prints must be no wider than 11 inches, and no taller than 60 inches.
