Wall Preparation: It is the responsibility of the property owners to ensure that their walls are clear of any obstruction or issues before the commencement of murals. 

Mural Design Themes: Each property has separate design themes. Please be sure to abide by the design theme/instructions, as it is part of the selection process. 

Key Selection Criteria: Design renderings will be judged on the following criteria     

• Artistic Quality & Creativity: How well the design represents the theme or design inspiration that was provided.
• Aesthetics: The design quality, potential visual enjoyment, innovation/risk in concept and technical approach, and prospective social interaction.
• Artistic Qualifications & Experience: The Artist’s previous work and ability to execute large-scale projects.

Funding: The FPRA allocated $50,000 to complete all murals within this initiative. It will be used to acquire artists. Artists will then be responsible for acquiring items needed to complete the mural such as paint, supplies, additional workers, and equipment. Funding for the program is based on the annual availability of funds.

Payment Process: Artists will receive a two-part payment. The first payment will be the deposit. Which can be used to purchase supplies, equipment any other resources needed to start the mural. The final payment is paid at the successful completion of the mural. 

Mural Completion: Each Mural completion date will vary based on the scope of each project. The FPRA intends to have all murals completed in the summer of 2025.

Sealant: Artists are required to seal their murals before completion. 

Agreement: Selected Artists must enter into a formal agreement with the Fort Pierce or Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency before the start of murals.
