2nd Biennial Member Online Exhibition-

Acceptance notification prior to August 15th, 2025.
Open to Artist Residents of North America 18 years or older who do not hold Signature status with TWSA, NWS or AWS and were not juried into the TWSA 2025 Annual Exhibition.
- Must be a current member of TWSA whose dues are paid for 2025. If you are not a member, join prior to entering.www.watercolors.org Joining now will cover 2025 dues. (Renewal Jan 2026)
• Must be the original work painted by the artist not done in class or under supervision.
- May not be a copy, likeness or derivative of another person’s artistic creation.
-Artists may enter one or two images online via Café for a $25 entry fee– only one per artist may be juried in.
No work previously exhibited with TWSA may be submitted.
No minimum or maximum size for this online - virtual exhibition.
No restriction on date entry was created.
- A Reminder: during Exhibition dates, accepted artwork may not be displayed elsewhere, in live exhibitions/virtual venues.
Jurors Lenox Wallace and Donna Jill Witty, TWSA Masters. Jurors will select up to 100 paintings to show online.

Top three award winners receive one point, one-time credit towards signature status. 3 points=signature status. Must receive other 2 points via TWSA Annual in person Exhibition.
Award amounts subject to increase in amount or count depending on participation.
REQUIREMENTS OF PAINTINGS
• Must be transparent watercolor, applied on a single piece of rag or wood pulp paper that is free of pigment and imbedded materials.
For a complete description of transparency go to the FAQ tab at the top of the https://watercolors.org page.
The following grounds, treatments, and media are excluded/not eligible:
-Graphite pencil may be used only for planning marks.
- Opaque white paint, of any kind- titanium/Chinese white, etc.
- Gesso, matte medium, priming material or exterior surface treatment.
- Gouache, acrylics, or water-soluble oils
- Inks, metallic, or iridescent paint or products that leave a metallic, graphite, or reflective sheen. Be aware that some of the Daniel Smith prima tek pigments can possibly contain iridescence.
- Watercolor crayon, colored pencil, charcoal, pastel, Conte sticks, or Conte Crayons
- Varnish, wax, wax crayon, oil sticks, or oil pastel
- Collage or surface constructions, impasto, embossing
- Yupo or similar papers.
- Canvas or canvas paper
- Use of digital images or enhancements printed on the paper
• TWSA reserves the right to withdraw any entry it deems inappropriate or objectionable.
Read all communications thoroughly, there will be no refunds of entry fees regardless of the reason.
Fees, sales and liability:
Entry fees are $25 for 1 or 2 images.

- The TWSA Screening Committee will examine all paintings for compliance with its Exhibition requirements.
- Paintings not adhering to requirements will not be exhibited.
- Entry Fees will not be refunded for any reason.
- Images of exhibited artwork may be used without charge for advertising and promotion
Life Members are FREE. Use code, TWSA4Life for entry. TWSA monitors entries. Improper usage of this coupon code will automatically disqualify your entry.
You must be a current member - you can renew or become a member at https://www.watercolors.org/shop/membership . If you enter without being a member your entry will be void and considered a donation.
Paintings may be listed as Not For Sale (NFS) or Sales price with artist contact info. Artist will be responsible for completion of any sale. No commission will be charged. TWSA is always appreciative of any donations from a sale with the monies going towards the expenses of the Exhibition. After October 1, 2025, the exhibition will move to YouTube with pricing/contact info removed.

HOW TO RESIZE YOUR IMAGE FOR UPLOADING
On a Mac Using Preview:
1. Select the image file you want to resize.
2. Right-click/select Open with Preview
3. Go to Tools, then Adjust Size.
4. Choose Fit into Custom and resize the image to 1200 pixels or larger on the longest
side.
5. Click OK.
On A PC Computer:
1. Select the image you want to resize.
2. Go to the toolbar and select Edit Pictures.
3. Go to Change Picture Size and click Resize.
4. Choose Custom and resize to 1200 pixels or larger on the longest side.
Applying is a three-stage process.

Fees are non-refundable. By submitting to this exhibition, you grant the Transparent Watercolor Society of America (TWSA) permission to reproduce any accepted image for display on the TWSA website/YouTube channel as well as to help publicize future exhibitions via newspaper, magazines, mailings and internet. Information provided on this application will be used in exhibition related materials. (i.e., Your name will appear exactly as submitted on entry form, and the email address you use on your entry will be the email address used for all emailings).
Important reminder regarding use of Coupon Code: These are only to be used by our Life Members. Other use is prohibited and will disqualify the work submitted; the artist will also be banned from future exhibitions.
Exhibition will be displayed on the Transparent Watercolor Society website from September 1st- September 30th, 2025.
Exhibition will be displayed indefinitely on our YouTube Channel.
