The Pulse of Urban Life. The Energy of the Streets.

Photo Art Pavilion is proud to announce an exciting new Street Photography open call — celebrating the dynamic scenes of urban locations across the world. We invite photographers from both the USA and internationally to submit their most captivating images that capture the raw, unfiltered energy of Life On The Streets.

From crowded city squares to intimate moments between strangers, from bustling markets to quiet corners of the urban jungle, this exhibit seeks to showcase the vibrancy of everyday life in cities, current or nostalgic. The diversity of cultures, environments, and experiences that shape our streets will be on full display, offering viewers a glimpse into the heart of cities worldwide.

Life on the Streets Virtual Juried Exhibit is an open call for photographers of all backgrounds or anyone with a passion for photography to submit their best captures.
 

SELECTED JUROR: JOANNE HENIG

Joanne Henig is a co-founder and curator of PhotoArtPavilion.com as well as an established fine art photographer.

Joanne shares her artistic vision and knowledge with other photographers while assisting them in building a salable art portfolio. Henig leads photography tours and workshops; is a curator of photography exhibitions; and teaches photography skills workshops and educational seminars for all levels of photography experience.

Based in New York, Henig is best known for her award-winning landscape, waterscape, and abstract works. She has traveled the world as a professional photographer for more than 40 years. Her artistry has been recognized in numerous gallery exhibits, in print publications, and is on permanent display in both private and corporate collections throughout the United States. 

“Being a juror for art photography exhibits is one of the most exciting things I get to do”, says Henig. “It’s where I get to interact not only with the art, but also with the artist.”

This open call is open to anyone who has a passion for photography.

No matter if you are a professional photographer or someone who enjoys taking snapshots, we want to see your best work. Whether you prefer to capture the scene with a DSLR, a point-and-shoot, a smartphone, or anything else, we are looking for creative shots and interesting perspectives.

The Virtual Juried Exhibit Reception will be held online on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025 at 7:00PM EST via Zoom. The reception will also be recorded and posted on our Photo Art Pavilion YouTube Channel.


The juried photographs will be displayed in an online gallery, which will be featured on PhotoArtPavilion.com

EXCELLENCE IN PHOTOGRAPHY AWARDS:

First Place: $150.
Second place: $125.
Third place: $100.
Honorable Mention: $35.

NOTIFICATIONS:

All artists who submit their art will be notified via email by the end of the day, September 5th, 2025.

  • Awards will be announced during the live Zoom reception
  • Social media posts will be sent out after the live Zoom reception concludes.
  • Award winners will receive an email informing them of an award in their name.
  • Checks will be mailed to the winners after the live Zoom reception date; September 17th, 2025.

  • Photos need to be in JPEG/JPG format, with the longest edge of 1200 pixels with a file size of 5MB or smaller.
  • During the upload process, we only need your title.

Submission Deadline: August 29th, 2025

Photographer Details:

  1. Photographers may submit up to five images per $35 entry.
  2. Only photographically based works depicting the specified theme will be considered.
  3. The entry fee of $35 for five images is non-refundable.
  4. If your image(s) are selected, Photo Art Pavilion reserves the right to display the artwork on our website and social media platforms, with each image credited with its title and the artist's name.

Usage Rights:

  1. By submitting your art, you grant Photo Art Pavilion the right to display any selected images on the PhotoArtPavilion.com website and social media accounts.
  2. Open to artists aged 18 years and older.

Entry Fee Details:

  1. A nonrefundable $35 entry fee is required for each artist.
  2. All submitted art must be created by the submitting artist.

Juror's Decision:

  1. The decisions made by the juror are final.
