Call Description
The Chihuly Collection is seeking entries for a juried exhibition specifically for artists working in the medium of neon glass. This is a national exhibition, and any artist age 18 or older living in the US is eligible. The purpose of this show is to draw a connection to Dale Chihuly’s Blue Neon Tumbleweed in the Collection, and to amplify the voices of artists who utilize this engaging medium in their practices.
The exhibition will be held at the Chihuly Collection (presented by the Morean Arts Center) in St. Petersburg, FL from January 24 – April 19, 2026.
Application Requirements
To submit, please include: Images of 1 to 2 works of art to be considered for the exhibition and a $30 entry fee. You may submit two images of each work to show different views (total of 4 images max).
Categories and size limitations: Artwork may be any theme or subject matter, though please keep in mind the Chihuly Collection is a family-friendly venue. Size limit for work submitted is 60 inches in any direction, and the weight limit is 50 pounds. This exhibition is meant to highlight contemporary work in neon; therefore, all artwork submitted must be at least 50% made of neon glass material.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility: The exhibition and competition is open to all artists (aged 18 or older) currently living in the continental US. All work must be original, completed within the last three years, and not previously exhibited at the Morean. The Morean’s curatorial staff has the final authority for selection.
