Call Description

In honor of SCWCA’s 50th anniversary, we invite artists to submit work to Celebrate!, a dynamic juried exhibition marking five decades of creating community through art, education, and social activism in the visual arts across Southern California.

What does Celebrate! mean to you?

This open call for art welcomes a wide interpretation of the theme. All self-identified women artists are welcome to enter their work. We encourage artists to reflect on and Celebrate! what matters most in their lives and creative practice. Whether it’s the joy of personal milestones, social progress, relationships, the natural world, identity, resistance, cultural heritage, or the act of making art itself. This is a moment to lift up and honor the people, places, ideas, and experiences that fuel your passion.

Celebrate! is an opportunity to share your voice, vision, and vitality.
