Call Description
Calling all Texas artists! The ArtCentre of Plano invites you to submit your work for For the Love of Art 2025, a juried exhibition held during our signature month-long celebration of the arts.
This annual event is more than a fundraiser—it’s a vibrant, community-wide tribute to creativity, culture, and connection. Throughout the month, we honor the artists who shape the soul of Plano. Now’s your chance to take part in that story.
Whether you're an emerging voice or a seasoned creator, this exhibition offers the opportunity to showcase your work in a meaningful way—with the added thrill of recognition and cash prizes.
About the Juror
We are thrilled to welcome Kristin Rivas as the 2025 juror. Kristin joined Samuel Lynne Galleries in 2014 and was appointed Director in 2016. Under her leadership, the gallery expanded to four locations across Dallas, Houston, and Chicago. In 2022, she co-founded Hollman Miller Gallery in Whitefish, Montana—curating work by renowned contemporary artists like David Yarrow, Tyler Shields, JD Miller, and Lea Fisher.
Kristin earned her bachelor’s degree in Art History from Texas Woman’s University and pursued graduate studies at the University of North Texas, with a focus on Abstract Expressionism. Her academic work includes research and published papers on Modern and Contemporary Indian Art, including the influence of the Kiran Nadar Museum and the art of Bharti Kher. With a sharp curatorial eye and deep understanding of both global and local art trends, Kristin brings a discerning and thoughtful voice to the jury process.
