Call Description
The City of Saratoga invites artists from across the country to participate in the City of Saratoga’s On Loan Program, bringing dynamic public art to prominent locations in Saratoga, California.
Submission Details
• Deadline: September 20, 2025
• Submission Limit: Up to three sculptures per artist
• Outdoor Display: Selected sculptures will be exhibited year-round, subject to Saratoga’s many weather conditions—from sunshine to rain and storms. Please consider durability when submitting your work.
Selection & Installation
• The Saratoga City Council will jury submissions and notify selected artists by October 16, 2025.
• Installation Timeline: Accepted works must be delivered to Saratoga, California at the artist’s expense between Nov 1 – Nov 15, 2025. Alternative arrangements may be made with the City of Saratoga if needed.
• The City of Saratoga reserves full discretion on placement of all sculptures.
Honorarium & Sales
• Honorarium: The City of Saratoga will pay a $1,000 honorarium per piece for accepted works for the duration of the installation, which is one year.
• Sales Opportunity: If the artist wishes, the sculptures may be made available for purchase from the artist after the loan period.

Exhibition Requirements
To ensure the longevity and safety of the exhibit, sculptures must meet the following criteria:
• Minimum height: 16 inches
• Structurally sound & durable for outdoor display
• Fragile, hazardous, or inappropriate works will not be accepted
IMPORTANT: This application represents ONE artwork, with 3 to 6 images of the work. If you wish to enter additional artworks, checkout and submit the first application, then return to "Apply to Calls" and choose APPLY AGAIN TO THIS CALL. Repeat the process for up to three applications.
