Call Description

The Courageously Created Fine Art Show & Auction is a juried, in-person event held Saturday, April 25 through Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the new Alatheia Therapeutic Riding Center Arena in Wenatchee, Washington.

Alatheia changes lives with the healing power of horses. We provide equine-assisted services for children and adults with physical, developmental, intellectual, and emotional disabilities; veterans and first responders working through trauma; and adults with disabilities building life and work skills. Through these programs, Alatheia fosters empowerment, resilience, independence, and belonging.

This Fine Art Show & Auction celebrates courage and creativity while serving a greater purpose: to raise funds to complete Alatheia’s capital expansion project to double capacity and eliminate the waitlist. By participating, artists and patrons directly help more children, adults, veterans, and first responders access the services they need.

Saturday evening will feature an exclusive Opening Reception and Benefit Auction, followed by a public exhibition and additional sales on Sunday, coinciding with Alatheia’s Open House expected to draw large community crowds..

Our Juror will present the awards on Friday evening to the first place ($1000.00), second place ($600.00), and third place ($250.00) winners, along with three honorable mentions.

We are now accepting submissions of original works of art, all subject matter, genres, and styles. All art should be appropriate for every age. The juror will select and ultimately curate an eclectic array of original artwork. Submission deadline is March 22nd, 2026.

Meet the Team of “Courageously Created”

Diann Kincaid is the passionate advocate who envisioned the Courageously Created Fine Art Show & Auction. As an artist at heart, she aims to inspire unity between courage and creativity through the healing power of horses and the arts.    www.diannkincaid.com and/or cascadevalleyinn.com

Award-winning artist and International Instructor Ned Meuller has been selected as our featured artist and jury member.

Mueller is recognized as a "Master Artist" by both the American Impressionist Society and the Oil Painters of America. His work encompasses a wide range of subjects, including portraits, figures, animals, and landscapes, often capturing the essence of the scenes he paints. He is particularly known for his plein air paintings, which are created outdoors and reflect the changing light and atmosphere of the moment.

Alatheia’s Director of Operations and Development, Daria Land, is dedicated to promoting the 2nd Annual Courageously Created Fine Art Show & Auction for artists and art enthusiasts. With her background in media and advertising, Daria plays a key role in advancing Alatheia’s communications and marketing efforts as we move toward completing phase one of our “Double the Capacity” campaign, which includes a new state-of-the-art arena.

Art Sales:

Your art has the power to change lives. By contributing to the Courageously Created Fine Art Show & Auction, you’re not only sharing your creativity with the community—you’re helping Alatheia expand capacity and eliminate the waitlist so more children, adults, veterans, and first responders can experience the healing power of horses. To ensure strong bidding and meaningful proceeds, auction starting bids will be set below the full retail value you provide (approximately 35–40%), encouraging lively participation while honoring the worth of your work. Every sale is split 50/50 between the artist and Alatheia, making your art both a celebration of creativity and a gift of hope to those waiting for service

  • All artwork selected for this exhibition must be available for sale.
  • The final sale price will be the highest bid and sales will be split 50/50, with 50% of the proceeds awarded to the artist and 50% supporting Alatheia, as this juried show is also a nonprofit benefit auction.
  • Starting auction bids will be set at approximately 35–40% of the retail value you provide. This helps encourage active bidding while honoring the value of your work.
  • A predetermined and realistic fair market value must be provided for each piece submitted for judging and exhibition. Please note: significantly overpriced artwork may not be accepted by the juror. Suggested retail pricing: $750–$2,500.
  • Provide a signed certificate of appreciation and value.
  • Once submitted, sales prices will remain consistent throughout the show and auction.
  • The artist’s share of sales will be issued via check, mailed within three weeks of the show’s close.

For artists who feel inspired to donate 100% of the sale of a piece, your generosity will make an even greater impact. A full donation directly supports Alatheia’s capital campaign to expand capacity and eliminate the waitlist, ensuring that more children, adults, veterans, and first responders can access equine-assisted services when they need them most. In gratitude, Alatheia will reimburse your CaFÉ Call fee, highlight your contribution on our website and social media, and present you with a signed certificate of appreciation recognizing both your artistry and your gift.
