Call Description
THEME
The Colorado Photographic Arts Center (CPAC) is excited to announce it’s new juried biennial photography exhibition Threshold. We invite photographers worldwide to submit work to this open themed juried exhibition. Over 30 images will be selected to be on display at CPAC and four cash awards totaling $3,000 will be provided.

Notice of Acceptance: October 16, 2025
Work received to gallery: Friday, November 14, 2025
Exhibition dates: November 21, 2025 – January 3, 2026
Opening reception: Saturday, November 22, 2025 5-8pm

Fees: Members $55 and Non-Members $70 up to 3 images; $5 each additional image

JUROR
Karen Haas is the Lane Senior Curator of Photographs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston where she is responsible for a large collection of photographs by American modernists, Charles Sheeler, Edward Weston, Ansel Adams, and Imogen Cunningham. The Lane Collection numbers more than 6,000 prints and ranges across the entire history of western photography. Her MFA activities include exhibitions such as Faces in the Crowd: Street Photography; Barbara Bosworth: The Meadow; Ansel Adams in Our Time; (un)expected families; Charles Sheeler from Doylestown to Detroit; Imogen Cunningham: In Focus; Gordon Parks: Back to Fort Scott; Edward Weston: Leaves of Grass; and Bruce Davidson: East 100th Street. She has recently co-authored Reframing Photography: Multiple Histories, with her MFA colleagues, and her other publications include Edward Weston: The Early Years; An Enduring Vision: Photographs from the Lane Collection; Ansel Adams; and The Photography of Charles Sheeler: American Modernist.

Final exhibition sizes must be specified, if the work is framed include that in the size.
The Gallery also understands that work may be presented in a non-traditional way that is integral to the art. Please contact us in advance if you feel your work fits into these criteria.
Eligibility Criteria
ELIGIBILITY
Entry is open to regional, national, and international artists, members and non-members of CPAC. All lens-based media are eligible, including but not limited to images made by film, scanner, screen-capture, digital camera, and any means of mobile photography. If work using AI is submitted, please be sure to note the use of AI in your application.
