Call Description
Wimzie in the Wild is a winter group exhibition in View’s Eco Gallery, spotlighting artwork that celebrates the environment through creative reuse, handcrafted construction, and story-driven ecological reflection. This show is part of the larger Whimsy series, which embraces art that is playful, strange, poetic, and meaningful.
We invite artists to submit sculptural work, assemblages, or small installations that reflect the untamed wonder of nature—imagined or real—through the lens of whimsy, reverence, and sustainability. Whether you’re building a shrine to extinct creatures, constructing forest guardians from scrap, or creating tactile meditations on climate and survival, your work should invite viewers to reimagine their relationship with the natural world.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Sculptural work using natural, repurposed, or sustainably sourced materials
• Artwork that evokes environmental awareness, ecological myth, or playful reverence for nature
• Proposals for site-responsive works or wall-mounted environmental storytelling pieces
• No living plants, perishable organics, or liquids (winter climate + museum policy)
