Call Description
The Interior Wild
February 17th - March 7th, 2026
Juror & Curator: Etty Yaniv
Atlantic Gallery, located in the historic Landmark Arts Building in Chelsea, invites artists to submit work for the upcoming juried show, The Interior Wild.
The Interior Wild invites artists to explore how feeling, memory, and perception take shape through connection with materials, engagement with space, and gestures of making. During this challenging time, as our world undergoes significant shifts on multiple levels, the exhibition emphasizes states of transformation—emotional, physical, and perceptual. Works may convey fluctuating mental states, emotional tension, biological processes, or memory through texture, repetition, and form.
We invite submissions of rigorous 2D and 3D artworks created within the last five years, including painting, sculpture, collage, photography, fiber & textile art, installation, and mixed media. Across all mediums, we value deep engagement with materials, thoughtful use of form, and careful attention to nuance. Abstract, representational, or anywhere in between are all welcome.
The juror and curator, Etty Yaniv, will award one artist a grand-prize of a one-week solo show at Atlantic Gallery at a future date.
A PDF catalog of the exhibition will be provided to all accepted artists. A print version will also be available for purchase.
Work Requirements:
Artists are invited to submit artwork, 2D or 3D, which illuminates the breadth of the concept of the INTERIOR WILD. Mixed media, painting, collage, photography, fiber & textile art and sculpture are acceptable. Work may not exceed 40” in any direction and must be ready to hang/mount. For 3-D work that is suspended, artists will have to provide detailed instructions for hanging (with photo) as well as hanging hardware. Suspended work may not exceed 15lbs. Cost of submission is $35 for three works and $5.00 for each additional work up to a total of five images. All work submitted must be for sale. Atlantic Gallery will take a 40% commission on any work sold. The gallery will reimburse the submission fee to any artist whose work sells.
