About the Juror: • Sarah Green, Creator, Curator, and Host for "The Art Assignment" and former Curator of Contemporary Art for the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
Entry Fee/Images: • $25 non-refundable entry fee for the submission of two pieces. • Each artist may submit up to two pieces of work for jurying. 
Eligibility: • This exhibit is open to all artists over the age of 18 residing in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky. • Work must be made within the last two years and cannot have been previously shown at the Art Center. • All work must be original and made by the artist or artist team. Collaborative works made between artists are eligible for inclusion.
Media: • All media eligible. Installation artists should contact us before applying to ensure compatibility of space. • 2D artwork must not weigh more than 250 pounds or be bigger than 10’ x 10’. • Video artists should submit still images on Café and mail us a copy of the DVD. DVD’s must be received by the March 1, 2014 deadline.
Awards: Chosen by the juror: • Best in Show - $1,000.00 • Best in 2D (includes video) - $500.00 • Best in 3D (includes installation) - $500.00 • 5 Honorable Mentions - $100.00 each Chosen by the Indianapolis Art Center’s Director of Exhibitions: • Director’s Choice Award – Solo Exhibition at the Indianapolis Art Center Awards will be announced at the Opening Reception in a public ceremony.
Accepted Work: • The Indianapolis Art Center exhibitions staff reserves the right to remove any works from the exhibition based on special installation circumstances or discrepancies between the juried images and actual work. • All accepted work must remain on display until the end of the exhibition June 8, 2014 • All work must come ready to install/hang. For multi-media and other installations artist should be available to assist with installation (to take place April 7 -10, 2014). • All work may be offered for sale. The Art Center retains a 35% commission on all sales.
Delivery/Pick-up: • All artwork must arrive by Monday, April 7, 2014 by 6 p.m. Artist is responsible for the shipping cost and insurance of the work while in transit. Work must be shipped in a reusable container and return shipping is also to be paid by the artist. Hand-delivered work may be dropped off beginning Wednesday, March 12th through Monday, April 7th, 2014 by 6 p.m. • Artwork must be picked up between Sunday, June 8 (starting at 4p.m.) and Thursday June 12, 2014. Shipped work will begin to be returned Monday, June 9, 2014. The Indianapolis Art Center is not responsible for any work not picked up by June 12, 2014 unless arrangements are made for long term storage. • The Art Center is open: Monday – Friday 9a.m. – 10p.m. Saturday 9a.m. – 6p.m. Sunday Noon – 6p.m. Liability: • The Art Center will be responsible for insuring the exhibition while on view, and upon request will furnish a certificate of insurance indicating that the works are so insured prior to transportation. The Artist is responsible for providing an itemized insurance list on the Art Center’s form. This form will be emailed to the artists once accepted into the exhibition.
Calendar of Events: • Saturday, March 1, 2014 – Submissions due • March 4 – 9, 2014 – Jury • Friday, March 14, 2014 – Notifications sent out (via email through Café) • March 12 – April 7, 2014 – work delivered for exhibition • April 11, 2014 – exhibition opens, free public reception, public announcement of award winners 6-8p.m. • June 8, 2014 – last day of exhibition (exhibition closes at 4p.m.) • June 8, 2014 (after 4p.m.) – June 12, 2014 works picked up/returned to artists
