Call Description

 The Epperson Gallery is thrilled to announce a call for entries for our upcoming art exhibition, "From the Heart." Gerald Epperson, the gallery owner and a steadfast supporter of the art community for over three decades will be the juror.  The exhibition will run from January 13 through February 27. It serves as a vibrant platform for artists to explore and express themes of love, passion, friendship, commitment, and the myriad experiences that ignite joy in our lives.

Awards:

- First Prize: $4,000 Purchase Award

- Second Prize: $1,000

- Third Prize: $500

Application Requirements

Submission Guidelines:

- All artworks must be original, one-of-a-kind pieces, and not previously shown at the Epperson Gallery. All work must be for sale. NFS submissions will not be accepted.

- Two-dimensional art should be framed or gallery-wrapped with clean edges and at least 1.5” deep. It should be wired on the back with D rings; no sawtooth hangers will be accepted. There is a height limit of 5 feet.

- Prints must be pulled by the hand of the artist, numbered, dated, and signed on the front in a visible location.

- Please note: Digital art or giclées will not be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility

Open to artists 18 and over residing in the USA. 

All artwork must be original and completed within the last two years.

 Accepted Mediums: Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Printmaking, Mixed Media and Fiber Art.

Artwork cannot have been previously exhibited at Epperson Gallery.

All  wall works must be ready to hang.

All artwork must be for sale.

Accepted artwork that differs significantly from image in online submission will be disqualified.

The Epperson gallery reserves the right to reject works from the exhibition, including those deemed extraordinarily fragile, unstable, unable to be properly installed, potentially dangerous, extremely overpriced, or too heavy or large.

No accepted entry may be withdrawn or sold outside of the exhibition before the closing date.

Epperson Gallery handles all sales transactions. Artists receive a 50% commission from all gallery sales. 

Size limitations

2d artwork 60" tall by 48" wide(including frame).

Art must be able to enter through the doors with a clearance of 80”h x 84”w

Ceilings in the gallery are 11 feet high

Nothing over 60 lbs will be accpeted.
