Call Description

The Figure Adorned: is a juried group exhibition seeking outstanding examples of contemporary fiber and textile-based artwork that engages with the human form and the marks, symbols, and ways we adorn it. From textile portraits and three-dimensional figures to sculptural accessories, purses, scarves, jewelry, and other objects of adornment, we invite work that considers the body as subject, surface, or site of storytelling.

Both literal and abstract interpretations are welcome.

This juried show welcomes submissions in weaving, embroidery, quilting, basketry, fiber sculpture, mixed media, and other textile-based forms.
