Call Description

Does your work operate somewhere in the intersection of Ecology, Spirituality, and Culture? Tell us about it! The deadline is ongoing. We will review your work for inclusion in our database. We publish four times per year, with each issue sharing the work and ideas of several artists. In all, we share the work and ideas of roughly 15-20 visual artists annually with our print issue subscribers, as well as an online audience via our website and social media.

Applicants will be notified if we feel your work matches appropriately and supports one of our specific, themed issues. At that point, we may request further information from you regarding specific projects or lines of inquiry. Selected artists have their work printed in an issue of EcoTheo Review, often alongside essays, statements, or interviews to help readers understand the artist’s intentions. On an ongoing basis, we also share our artists on our social media platforms and strive to create a community of artists with shared interests and concerns.

Application Requirements

  • Provide a brief artist statement (300 words maximum) addressing how you feel your work is situated in the intersection of Ecology and Spirituality. Please explain your ideas in a way that directly connects to the images you are submitting.
  • Upload a current resume (maximum three pages)
  • Choose up to 10 work samples
  • Upload a brief bio (200 words maximum)

Eligibility Criteria

Open to all forms of original visual art suitable for high-quality print reproduction.

Work must operate at the intersection of Ecology, Spirituality, and Culture. We welcome submissions inclusive of all religious traditions and the broadest possible range of spiritual expression, provided the work engages meaningfully with our core mission.
