Call Description
Thornback Gallery is pleased to announce our Second Annual Juried Exhibition, celebrating outstanding contemporary artwork across all media. "Fractures and Repair" explores cycles of rupture and renewal—how individuals and communities respond to harm, navigate conflict, and engage in acts of healing and reconstruction. This theme invites work that reflects on personal or collective struggle, transformation, and resilience.
This show offers artists the opportunity for professional exposure and cash awards, with all selections made through a blind jury process to ensure fairness and artistic integrity. A non-refundable fee of $30 enables each artist to enter up to two works. Please submit one digital image per work to be juried.
Entry Format
- Each image file must be in .jpg format and should not exceed 5 MB in size.
- All images must be correctly oriented.

Juror
Kreneshia (Kren The Curator) is an advocate for the arts devoted to fostering culture in the community and presenting creatives in captivating original ways. She’s a Tennessee native, but travels near and abroad to work with various artists such as legends like the late renowned poet Nikki Giovanni, retired Ralph Lauren Creative Director, Audrey Schilt, and Forbes recognized artist, Genesis the Greykid. Kreneshia has been credited for her multi-genre projects by Essence Magazine and the Tennessee Association of Museums amongst others. Her portfolio includes creative direction, interior design, and curation in the settings of galleries, homes, restaurants, and more. Kreneshia is also the founder of Culture & Co. Museum which is devoted to curated collaboration and vitalizing the creative economy.
Eligibility
- Open to all artists aged 18 and older. Artists may be from outside of the Greenville, SC area, but the artist is responsible for artwork drop off/ delivery and cost of return shipping unsold work.
- All media accepted (painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, photography, sculpture, mixed media, etc.).
- Work must be original and created within the last four years.
- All work must be ready to hang or professionally presented.
- Artists may submit up to 2 pieces for consideration.
Sales & Commission
All work must be available for sale during the exhibition. The gallery will retain a 20% commission on all sold pieces. Artists will receive payment for sales within 30 days following the close of the show.
Important Dates
- Entry Deadline: 12/29/25
- Notification of Acceptance: 1/05/26
- Artwork Delivery: no later than Sunday, 1/11/26
- Exhibition Dates: 1/16/26- 2/15/26
- Opening Reception: Friday, 2/06/26 from 6-8pm
- Artwork Pickup: Friday, 2/20 from 1-6pm, Saturday, 2/21 from 12-4pm, and Sunday, 2/22 from 12-3pm. The gallery cannot store work beyond the scheduled pickup period.

- Accepted work must be dropped off or delivered to the gallery (201 Smythe Street Ste H, Greenville, SC 29611) by no later than Sunday, January 11, 2026.

- Artist Reception and awards: Friday, Feb 6, 2026 time TBD
- Pick up accepted work from gallery Friday, 2/20 from 1-6pm, Saturday, 2/21 from 12-4pm, and Sunday, 2/22 from 12-3pm.
