Call for Entries: Taste of the Arts Juried Exhibition

Exhibition Dates: May 1 – June 15, 2026
Location: University of South Carolina Beaufort Center for the Arts, Beaufort, SC

The USCB Center for the Arts and the City of Beaufort Cultural District are proud to present Taste of the Arts, a juried exhibition celebrating the vibrant creativity and cultural richness of the Lowcountry. This annual showcase invites artists from across South Carolina and Georgia to submit their finest original works for consideration.

Artists working in mixed media, printmaking, oils, pastels, watercolor, acrylics, photography, and sculpture are encouraged to apply. More than $2,500 in prizes will be awarded to outstanding submissions, recognizing excellence in both artistic skill and creative vision.

An opening reception and awards ceremony will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at the USCB Center for the Arts. This festive evening marks the beginning of the Taste of Beaufort Festival, a beloved community celebration of fine art, local cuisine, and the creative spirit that defines the Lowcountry.

Entries will be accepted through CaFÉ (CallForEntry.org) with a $20 entry fee. Application Requirements

Accepted Artwork:

Must be ready to hang or display.

Two-dimensional work must be securely wired (no sawtooth hangers).

Works on paper will need to be framed and suitable for hanging

Sculptures must be stable and suitable for public exhibition. Specify is a pedestal will be needed. 

Artwork must remain on display for the duration of the exhibition.

No reproductions, giclées, or work previously exhibited at the USCB Center for the Arts will be accepted.
